What is the ESTA visa?
The ESTA visa, as mentioned above, is used as a pass for travelers whose purpose is a tourist stay, a transit or a professional stay. But this is not the only condition to be met. Indeed, to obtain the ESTA visa, the duration of the temporary stay must not exceed three months (90 days maximum). Contrary to what one might think, the USA ESTA visa is not comparable to a visa, but it is another option which can prove to be simpler, faster and less expensive to obtain. The response is generally delivered within 72 hours maximum and the validity of the document is 2 years unless your passport expires; in this case, you have to make a new request. It is important to specify that the ESTA visa does not guarantee you 100% of being able to return to the American territory. Indeed, if the customs officers do not wish to accede to your request at the airport during the security checks, the latter are not obliged to do so, because they are very involved in security measures.
The ESTA US visa does not allow you to live, work in the USA or study at an American university; for this, you must make a visa request to the competent American authorities.
